MEDICARE FOR ALL

If health care is a human right, we should not have to go through insurance companies to get it. Medicare for All will put all Americans under a single-payer national health insurance program. Everybody in, nobody out. Automatically enrolled at birth, any American can go to any doctor they choose. All while saving our country money.

HOUSING FOR FAMILIES, NOT FOR WALL STREET

Every American must have a safe, decent, and affordable home. We cannot sell off a key part of the American Dream to wealthy investors. We cannot continue to let high rents drain our economy. And we must harness the power of the government to build homes where they are needed most.

GREEN NEW DEAL & GOOD UNION JOBS

People in the Central Valley are already experiencing the effects of climate change. We need a Green New Deal to fight back. Labor must be at the heart of this effort for a sustainable energy sector. We can create manufacturing jobs here at home and high-skilled, high-paying jobs to run the energy sector of the future.

LIBERTY TO PRIORITIZE OUR FAMILY

We need an economy that gives us the liberty to prioritize the people closest to us over another shift at work. Taking paid time off to take care of a loved one, a personal family matter, or a newborn child. These are all benefits most executives enjoy. But as the COVID-19 pandemic revealed, the actual essential workers have jobs with little to no benefits. It’s time we fix that.

SOCIAL SECURITY & A DIGNIFIED RETIREMENT

Too many of our elders and seniors dare not dream about retirement. I support legislation to strengthen and expand Social Security. After a life of hard work, everyone deserves to retire in security, with dignity.

DEMOCRACY IN THE WORKPLACE

The union movement built America’s strong middle class. But now, declining unionization has fueled rising inequality. Corporate profits are at an all-time high while workers are struggling to make ends meet. A strong union movement is key for working people to fight back.

INVESTMENTS IN EDUCATION

We must invest in our most valuable resource, our children. Every child should have an equal opportunity to reach their fullest potential, regardless of their zip code. Sadly, that is not the case today. I support making real investments in public education and making trade schools, public colleges, and universities tuition-free.

AMERICAN WEALTH FUND

The pandemic revealed who is actually essential for our country to function. It's not the folks on Wall Street; it's everyday working people, doing their part. I believe it is time we reap the rewards of our efforts, through an American Wealth Fund. When our economy does well, we should all benefit.
